I love to write. However, my number 1 problem, the first sentence. No matter what you write, there is a structure, intro, body, conclusion. Research essays are super easy to piece together, little bit here, little there, till there’s enough to fill the allotted pages with explanation and connection, in the same intro, body, conclusion manner (plus some technical, repetitive explanation bits). But always, that opening sentence, will hang me up forever.
I also like that my swear laden speech is optional in my writing. I can’t go more than a couple spoken sentences without slipping, I have to actively mind myself. But in written, for some reason, it’s just as natural both ways.
I can also clarify what I’m trying to convey better in writing. I can proof read it and see where I left information out, or spiraled off into a tangent. Thank Georgetown Uni (on behalf of IBM) for spell check.
I love the internet. I can find research on most topics, and I’ve learned every weird thing people do or go through, millions of others are and do too. We’re not so weird after all… well most of us… the internet taught me some of us are massively and truly fucked up, as well. My favorite statistic is that anything anyone can think of, has a minimum “1 in 6 billion” chance of happening/being… … and, I take everything to dark corners, of course… so, think of the most messed up ‘Saw’, ‘Hostel’, ‘It puts the lotion on it’s skin’ thing you can…. 1 in 6 billion people minimum, that’s their kink. There are over 7 billion people on the planet now. that person very likely exists out there, right now. Somewhere.
I started this site to post my research, photography, and have somewhere to ‘prattle on’. I have no solid goal beyond this. So hopefully there’s at least few people out there who get something from this as well. Please feel welcome to contact me, comment, or just lurk.
